16 November Ohio Arts Council Issues Notice of Public Hearing for Amended Rules, Announces Winter Committee Meeting November 16, 2018 For the Public, News Rules, Governor's Awards, JCARR, Public Notice, Rule Review 0 The Ohio Arts Council (OAC) hereby gives notice of its intent to share with the public proposed amended rules as required by section 119.03 of the Ohio Revised Code. The amended rules pertain to the agency's council member notices, officer and executive committee elections, advisory panels, and technical corrections to conflict of interest report requirements and the gifts and donations fund. The OAC will hold a public hearing for the purpose of accepting testimony on the proposed amended rules. The hearing will be held Monday, December 17, 2018, at 11 a.m. at the OAC office on the 33rd floor of the Rhodes State Office Tower, located at 30 E. Broad St. in downtown Columbus. Amended rules will be available for review in the Register of Ohio within 24 hours of the posting of this notice or by contacting Justin Nigro at 614-728-4445 or firstname.lastname@example.org. The rules being amended are: OAC 3379-3-04 (Notice.) OAC 3379-5-02 (Executive committee.) OAC 3379-7-02 (Election and term of office.) OAC 3379-7-07 (Advisory panels.) OAC 3379-9-02 (Conflict of interest reports.) OAC 3379-17-01 (Gifts and donations.) At the hearing, people affected by the rules may appear and be heard in person, by an attorney, or both; may present his or her positions, arguments, or contentions, orally or in writing; offer and examine witnesses; and present evidence tending to show that amended rule, if adopted or effectuated, will be unreasonable or unlawful. The hearing will continue until all parties in attendance, at that time, have had an opportunity to comment. Those intending to testify in person are encouraged to pre-register by contacting Justin Nigro. Those who wish to present his or her positions, arguments, or contentions in writing, other than at the public hearing, may do so by either mailing written comments to the Ohio Arts Council, c/o Justin Nigro, 30 E. In addition, the OAC Awards Committee will meet Tuesday, December 18 at 10 a.m. at the OAC Office at 30 E. Broad St., 33rd Floor in downtown Columbus. The meeting is open to the public.
