OAC Board Meeting MinutesNavigation links: Home | About OAC | OAC Board Meeting MinutesThe Ohio Arts Council (OAC) Board consists of fifteen voting members appointed by the governor, two non-voting members of the House of Representatives appointed by the Speaker, and two non-voting members of the Senate appointed by the Senate President. Terms of office for the members appointed by the governor are for five years and for the legislative appointees they are for two years. The OAC Board meets three times during a calendar year. Board meetings are open to the public. Notification of the time and place of the regularly scheduled meetings is made available to the general public through news releases, which can be found on the OAC Web site, at least seven days prior to the meeting. In 2007, Governor Ted Strickland encouraged all state agencies to increase access to government decision-making through Executive Order 2007 -- 01S Establishing New Ethics Requirements. As one step in a larger effort to share the work of our governing Board, the OAC has begun posting minutes from its full Board meetings.
