Ohio Arts Council's Individual Excellence Awards Application Deadline Approaching

The Ohio Arts Council's Individual Excellence Awards application deadline is fast approaching! The Individual Excellence Awards program recognizes outstanding accomplishments by artists in a variety of disciplines. Creative artists who are residents of Ohio may apply to this program by Tuesday, September 4, 2012. Applicants must have lived in Ohio for one year prior to the September 4 deadline and must remain in the state during the grant period.

For fiscal year 2013, the Ohio Arts Council is accepting applications for artists working in the following disciplines: crafts, design arts/illusion, interdisciplinary/performance art, media arts, photography, visual arts 2D and visual arts 3D. Applicants must use the OnLine Grant Applications (OLGA) system, accessible at www.culturegrants-oh.org. All applications are due in the OAC office by 5 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on September 4, 2012.

Members of the Ohio Arts Council (OAC) board will meet Wednesday, June 19 at the Dayton Art Institute at 456 Belmonte Park North, in Dayton. Committee meetings will take place Wednesday morning, with the full board meeting being held from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. All meetings are open to the public.
