Individual Artists Opportunities
Welcome to the Artist Opportunities Database. The Artist Opportunities Database is a searchable listing of opportunities for artists. The Artist Opportunities Database is managed by the Ohio Arts Council (OAC), and is free and open to the public for browsing and searching. The purpose of the database is to announce opportunities available to artists.
The online Artist Opportunities Database represents another step the Ohio Arts Council’s Individual Artist Grant Programs and Services office is taking to support the work of artists. This database provides a listing of local, statewide, national and international opportunities. The Artist Opportunities Database is available online only so that we may maintain the most current information possible.
To search for a particular organization or area of interest, please use the fields below. Limiting the number of keywords used in your search will produce greater results, while leaving all fields blank and clicking the “Search” option will provide a chronological listing of all available opportunities.
To view more detailed information regarding contact names, web addresses, and application guidelines for each opportunity, please click on the name of a specific organization listed.

Search is easiest and will return the most relevant records if limited to specific parameters. Entering no search parameters will return all records.

The Columbus Metropolitan Library, Ohio Arts Council and Friends of the Library have once again partnered to bring arts opportunities to artists and the public by presenting a juried art show at the Columbus Metropolitan Library Main Library. In 1998 the two organizations collaborated to create the Ohio Online Visual Artist Registry (OOVAR), a database that showcases the work of more than 700 artists from Ohio and around the world.
