Susan R. Ewing’s creative works in metal range from the miniature to the monumental, encompassing jewelry, tabletop design, and public works of sculpture. She lives and works in Oxford, Ohio, where she owns and manages InterAlia Design Studio LLC and Studio SEVN LLC. A University Distinguished Professor Emeritus and former senior associate dean of the College of Creative Arts at Miami University, she headed the university’s jewelry design and metalsmithing studios as a member of the Department of Art faculty from 1981 to 2015. She was a J. W. Fulbright Senior Lecturing Scholar at the Academy of Art, Architecture, and Design in Prague, Czech Republic, and a Masterclass Professor at the Royal College of Art in London, England. Her works are in numerous collections, including the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, England and the Alessi Museum in Crusinallo, Italy. She was also one of 80 artists in the first “White House Collection of American Craft” (1993 & 1994).
