2020 Governor’s Awards for the Arts Winners Announced

Nine winners have been selected to receive Governor’s Awards for the Arts in Ohio. Awardees will be honored during a virtual celebration premiering online on May 10, 2021, at noon.

Ohio Artists Take Home Exhibition Honors at 13th Annual OOVAR Juried Show

The work of four Ohio artists received awards at the 13th annual Ohio Online Visual Artist Registry (OOVAR) Juried Show, which celebrated its closing reception at the Columbus Metropolitan Library’s Carnegie Gallery on Feb. 29.

Phyllis Gorfain, professor of English emerita at Oberlin College, originated Oberlin Drama at Grafton as a Shakespeare-centered performance program at Grafton Correctional Institution in 2012.Through Phyllis' initiatives, ODAG provides a transformative space for its actors, Oberlin students, guest directors, lecturers, visiting performers, volunteers, and audiences.
