Art & Accessibility: Tip #7

Art & Accessibility Tip #7: Share Your Accessibility Story

Accessibility isn’t just ramps. Accessibility can be sign language interpreters, closed or open captioning, large print materials, Braille, a calming area, touch tours, restrooms, curbs, fidgets, and much, much more.  If you have examples you would like to share with us, please email your program coordinator and copy kim.turner@oac.ohio.gov. We would love to hear how you are making Ohio more accessible in your neck of the woods!

For more information about making your arts programming accessible, contact your Ohio Arts Council program coordinator at oac.ohio.gov/About/Staff-Directory, including OAC Accessibility Coordinator Kim Turner at kim.turner@oac.ohio.gov.

The Ohio Arts Council believes that everyone has the right of equal access to the arts. Each month, the ArtsOhio  blog will include an accessibility tip for arts organizations. For additional accessibility resources, visit oac.ohio.gov/About/About-the-Council/Accessibility.
