Inaugural Juried Exhibition postcard

OAC's Riffe Gallery Accepts 59 Ohio Artists into Juried Exhibition

The Ohio Arts Council's Riffe Gallery sent out its first open call-for-entry and asked Ohio's visual artists to show us what they've got, and they delivered in a big way. Nearly 400 artists submitted one to three artworks in media ranging from printmaking to video to ceramics. Three Ohio arts leaders—Marilyn Simmons, SPACES (Cleveland); Tyler Cann, Columbus Museum of Art; and Petra Kralickova, Athens—ultimately selected 59 artworks in a blind-jury process. Three $500 Juror's Choice Awards (one per juror) and one $1,000 Best in Show Award will be presented at the public opening reception on Thursday, November 5, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. The Inaugural Juried Exhibition will run from November 5, 2015, through January 9, 2016.
