Governor Kasich Reappoints James Dicke II, Jon D. Holt, and Robert Hankins to Ohio Arts Council Board July 21, 2017 Terms Extended to July 1, 2022 COLUMBUS, Ohio – July 21, 2017 Governor John R. Kasich has reappointed three members of the Ohio Arts Council (OAC) board for terms ending July 1, 2022. Vice-Chair James (Jim) Dicke II of New Bremen, Jon D. Holt of Dayton, and Robert (Robb) Hankins of Canton were reappointed by the governor on July 11. “Jim, Jon, and Robb have ably served the citizens Ohio during their tenure on the OAC board,” said Donna S. Collins, OAC executive director. “I am excited to continue working with them to advance and strenghten the arts.” Mr. Dicke is the chairman and CEO of Crown Equipment Corporation, the fifth-largest manufacturer of industrial forklifts in the world. Among many other community and business achievements, he is chairman emeritus at the Dayton Art Institute, an honoree of the National Academy of Design, and recently served on the Smithsonian National Board and as chairman of commissions of the Smithsonian American Art Museum. Mr. Dicke is also an accomplished artist and photographer, an art collector, and the 2007 recipient of the Governor’s Awards for the Arts in the Arts Patron category. Mr. Holt is director and senior corporate counsel in the global legal department of LexisNexis, a division of RELX, Inc. His practices focuses on corporate, compliance, and intellectual property law. Prior to joining LexisNexis, Mr. Holt worked in Porter Wright Morris & Arthur LLP’s litigation department in the firm’s Dayton office. Mr. Holt currently serves on the board of the Public Broadcasting Stations-Public Media Connect ThinkTV and CETTV in Dayton and Cincinnati, Ohio. Mr. Hankins is president and chief executive officer of ArtsinStark, Stark County’s arts council. He has more than 30 years of experience working in city, county, and state arts agencies in eight states, at which he has managed a variety of arts activities including arts festivals, public art projects, arts education programs, and downtown arts districts. Mr. Hankins joined the staff of ArtsinStark in 2005, and the organization was the 2012 recipient of the Governor’s Awards for the Arts in the Community Development & Participation category.
