As part of a biennial celebration of the arts and art education, the Ohio House of Representatives High School Student Art Exhibition features exemplary visual art created by high school students from all corners of Ohio. Artwork from each of the 99 districts of the House of Representatives is featured. The tremendous artwork on display is a welcomed addition to the hallway connecting the Riffe Center and the Statehouse. It is a shining example of the kind of talent that our state’s young people possess, and the exhibition provides them with the opportunity to showcase their artistic skills. Fostering creativity in our young people—through all avenues—is so important to their development and will serve them well throughout their lives. This program both encourages that creative expression and gives students and their art instructors well- deserved recognition.
The Ohio House of Representatives High School Student Art Exhibition is located at the Vern Riffe Center for Government and the Arts, in the lower-level tunnel adjacent to the State Capital parking garage. Accessible between 7 a.m. - 5 p.m., Mon. - Fri. Closed on all state holidays.
